What I've been up toooooooooooooo

Just an update really......

Drawings - done a few self portraits and a sketch of Thome Yorke recently because as always I am trying to improve my portraiture skills, making progress slowly... here are a few , also did a still life - apples in a bowl sketch






















































Paintings - Working on a 60 by 80 cm abstract at the min, after quite a long break i'm painting a lot more , finding the will to do it again :). Also have painted a small still life on a 8 x 10 inch canvas called bowl of apples (with help from the sketch I did earlier and observation), needs a lot of improvement but it's an ok first try I guess, was going for a kind of fauvist inspired frenzy of colour, but I don't think I really achieved that.






















Completed this abstract painting a few days ago , it's untitled though, quite pleased with it, was trying to go for a flowing abstract expressionist feel.

Three stripes on Red - New Painting

Did another painting two days ago, called three stripes on red. Kind of an attempt at doing a more moody minimal style of painting.

I can admit that this is much influenced by Rothko
as you may be able to tell, though I tried to give it my own touch and make it original as much as possible. Im preety happy with how it turned out overall.

New Painting - Organic Improvisation 1

First of a planned series of three, this is called organic improvisation, calling them improvisation because I wanted to create a harmonius composition with each . This is so far the only one iv'e done , going to do two others some time in the near future.

< And the final painting, changed a few things, intially was only going to have black and white as the colors but I changed my mind and decided to add some grey, yellow and red, to make it stand out a bit. Preety pleased with it overall.
